Population

Population is steadily declining due to being overrun by smaller islands or isolated regions where they have been introduced. South Australia, koalas introduced some 90 years ago have thrived in the absence of predators. Combined with an inability to migrate to new areas, this has caused the Koala to be unsustainable which is big problem!

Habitat

Today, Koala populations are confined to a handful of the remaining eucalyptus forests of eastern Australia, from northern Queensland to southern Australia.
